More online music

MusicMatch recently released a new version of their Jukebox software which includes access to their new online music store. While I've never really liked MusicMatch (runs kinda slow, seems bulky, and costs $$) its great to see some competition in the legal digital music market.

I've also finally got to play with iTunes and it is by far the easiest to use. MusicMatch is close, but again seems a bit slow even on a 2.6ghz Pentium 4. Buying music with MusicMatch is admittedly easier than with, and their licensing terms (like iTunes) are pretty much standardized across the entire library. The downside is that the free version of MusicMatch has some limitations, especially in the area of CD burning.

Rumor has it Napster (now owned by Roxio) will be relaunching soon with a digital music store, as well.
