It just works...

I've been a user of iTunes every since it came out for Windows. Tonight I left it running while I was away from my computer. A little later on, having forgotten about leaving iTunes on, I fire up my PowerBook and started up iTunes on it.

I was a bit startled to see my entire music collection, from my Windows box, show up in iTunes on the PowerBook under "Matt's Music". Automatically. No configuring servers, no changing protocols, no extraneous services. Music streams from my PC to my Mac over the wireless network. I have all the search and browse capabilities typical of iTunes, even though the music is stored on another computer, using a different operating system.

It just works.
