Seems I'm not the only one who has been celebrating 10 years on the Internet. This blog post has a timeline with screenshots of the Microsoft homepage over the past 10 years. Remember when rolling out a new OS (Windows '95) meant a huge marketing blitz with a huge imagemap on their homepage that took a minute and a half to download on a 14.4kbps modem? While all these screenshots seem to be taken with Internet Explorer, I'm not sure Internet Explorer was even around for some of the earlier site designs. Back then, NCSA Mosaic and the lightning fast Mosaic Communications Netscape was how most sites were viewed.
