No more IE updates for older Windows

Microsoft has announced that security updates for Internet Explorer will only be made available to users of Windows XP. The estimated 200 million users who use a version of Windows other than XP should upgrade to XP, according to Microsoft.

This seems pretty irresponsible, since an upgrade to XP is not free and there are plenty of people out there with older hardware running just fine with one of the older Windows releases.

If you happen to be one of the 200 million people referenced above, I encourage you to take a look at another browser such as Firefox that I've written about before. Not only is it more secure, but it is faster and offers a lot more features than Internet Explorer, anyway.
